Hey gang! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Brandon and I sure did … but now it’s time to head back to Ohio. Good-bye palm trees, hello frosty windows. ![]()
This weekend has been a very eventful one for us. Along with celebrating the holiday with family, we also had the opportunity to catch up with some old friends!
First up, an afternoon of college football and grilling with some of my grad school buddies!
Evidently the party was BYOB … Bring Your Own Baby. Brandon and I must have missed the memo. ![]()
Baby Grayden is already chasing the girls. ![]()
I swear Alex likes me. Don’t let her look of terror fool you.
Sorry, Grayden, I don’t think Alex is interested in younger men. ![]()

On Sunday, we woke up early to go to my old church.
However, I had to make a pit stop beforehand …
Have I mentioned how much I miss Starbucks? Because I do. ![]()
After church and lunch at Olive Garden, we made a very special trip to see a very special little baby.
Heather and Jordan are friends from church in Sarasota who now live in Kentucky. They already have two little boys (both under the age of 4!), and baby boy #3 was born on Sunday!! ![]()

Lucky for us, he was born in Sarasota, and we had the opportunity to visit the family in the hospital.
Several of our other friends were visiting at the same time, so it ended up being a party!
Baylee Kate really wanted to touch the baby’s head … it must have looked like a giant red “push me” button to that little girl! ![]()
Everyone was teasing Brandon that he had to hold the baby, and he finally gave in.
There’s nothing more attractive than watching your husband hold a newborn baby. ![]()
It was an awesome weekend catching up with family and friends. I’m just sad that it was over so quickly!
Question for ya ..
What did you do this weekend?
Anyone else scared to hold a newborn??
(I am … they just seem so delicate!)
Who’s still eating Thanksgiving leftovers??
(I had my last plate last night … but my mom could probably live off the leftovers for another month!)

Haha, I feel like all of our friends are having babies too. Craziness! Our time will come…
Have a great day my dear!

Sometimes I have gone to parties where I feel like it is BYOB (Bring your own baby)! I agree there is nothing better than seeing your husband hold a baby. I remember when my husband first held our godson, I got all teary eyed! It is still one of my all time favorite photos of him.

We spent the weekend unwinding from Thanksgiving activities, which means we watched a lot of football. I’m not so scared to hold a baby, but that is probably because I have three kids and one is 6 weeks old. However, I am always extra cautious when changing their clothes in the beginning, but you get over it pretty quickly. Since we had Thanksgiving at my in-laws and then again at my aunts house, we didn’t have any leftovers. I can only eat leftovers the day after, because I am weird and not a fan of leftovers. Instead, I made homemade chili last night.

Aw…babies are so cute! But I am definitely afraid to hold newborns too. I don’t want to hurt them or do something wrong! I’m glad you had a great weekend in Florida

I love babies, but when they’re that little, I’m always afraid I’m going to drop them!! I prefer to hold them sitting down until I get warmed up, haha.

Yes, sitting down and holding them is a lot safer!!
I love babies! I’m the second oldest grandchild on both sides of my family so I am super comfy around them at all ages.
Looks like you and Brandon are next!!!
