So on my blog, I have a nifty little “stats” page. On that page, I can find out how many views my blog has had in a single day, a week, a month, etc. I can find out what sites brought people to my blog, and I can find out what sites my blog is taking people to.
Another interesting feature? “Search Engine Terms.” With this feature, I can find out what terms people are “googling” that bring them to my site.
For example, quite a lot of people google “taco lasagna,” which brings them to this recipe (which is still Brandon’s favorite, by the way).
Or they might google “shin splints,” and find one of my many posts complaining about my issues with shin splints (such as this one).
But would you like to know what’s the #1 TOP SEARCH ENGINE TERM that leads people to my blog??
Drumroll please ….
… Tim Tebow’s FEET!!!
Yep, that’s right. You read correctly. Tim Tebow’s feet.

So in just ONE day, 36 people visited my site after searching for Tebow’s feet. ![]()
And want to know what blog post shows up when they do that google search? Click here.
Sorry to disappoint, peeps. It’s not a picture of Timmy’s tootsies. It’s a picture of MY feet, plus a discussion about Tebow later in the post!
So in order to please my demanding public, I have put together a little collage, if you will. I hope you enjoy.
A Tribute To Tim Tebow’s Feet
You’re welcome, my odd little readers. ![]()
———————
OK, in less weird news …

As always, thanks to Jenn for hosting the party! ![]()
Breakfast:
Peanut butter and banana on a toasted English muffin. Plus coffee and water.
P.S. I’m currently trying to reduce my caffeine intake. So I’m filling my cup with 3/4 decaf and 1/4 regular. Prayers for Brandon’s well-being during this time would be appreciated. ![]()
Lunch:
A fake “chicken” patty on a whole-wheat sandwich thin, some carrots, and sautéed kale.
Plus an organic yogurt.
Side note:
Kale is my new obsession. OK, so I don’t love it in quite the same way as, say, frozen yogurt. But I love it in its own special way.
For those who have never eaten (or even heard of) kale, here are some interesting facts I found on webmd (as well as several other websites that said the same thing!):
“One cup of kale contains 36 calories, 5 grams of fiber, and 15% of the daily requirement of calcium and vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), 40% of magnesium, 180% of vitamin A, 200% of vitamin C, and 1,020% of vitamin K. It is also a good source of minerals copper, potassium, iron, manganese, and phosphorus.
Kale’s health benefits are primarily linked to the high concentration and excellent source of antioxidant vitamins A, C, and K — and sulphur-containing phytonutrients.
Carotenoids and flavonoids are the specific types of antioxidants associated with many of the anti-cancer health benefits. Kale is also rich in the eye-health promoting lutein and zeaxanthin compounds.
Beyond antioxidants, the fiber content of cruciferous kale binds bile acids and helps lower blood cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease, especially when kale is cooked instead of raw.”

Pretty cool, right? Now if you decide to buy kale, I wouldn’t just throw it in a bowl, top it with some ranch dressing, and eat it straight. If you do decide to have it in a salad, it’s recommended that you “massage” the kale with the dressing (such as olive oil and vinegar) and let it sit a while before eating. I’m not an expert on this yet, because I haven’t eaten kale this way. But if you check out Chelsey’s post on kale, she does a much better job explaining!
What I’ve done with kale so far is add it to a coconut curry stew, and I’ve sautéed it. To sauté it, I just heat some olive oil (about a tablespoon) in a pan over medium heat. Then I add a little diced onion and garlic (not necessary, but very tasty) and let that heat through. Then I add a couple handfuls of kale. I stir the kale around for a few minutes, until it’s wilted but still a beautiful green color. Then I add a little red pepper flake and salt, and enjoy!
Seriously, it’s delicious. Don’t be scared. ![]()
Snack #1:
Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal, sliced strawberries, and milk.
Snack #2:
An organic Cameo Washington apple.
After eating nearly half of it, it dawned on me to heat it up in the microwave for 30 seconds and add cinnamon. I love raw apples, but I love them even more when they’re just a little warm and softened! ![]()
Dinner:
Please forgive me for my even worse than usual photography … I was in the hotel lobby for dinner and I didn’t want people to think I had a weird obsession with spaghetti. And not to complain because it’s a free meal, but their dinners are starting to remind me of school cafeteria lunches. ![]()
Dessert:
A Lindt white chocolate. And in the interest of full disclosure, this cute little chocolate was followed by several chocolate chip Goldfish. ![]()
Question for ya …
What’s the best thing you’ve eaten this week?
Do you eat kale? How do you like to prepare it?
Any suggestions for helping wean me off caffeine, without causing serious bodily harm to those around me?
Did you find my site through a google search of Tim Tebow’s feet?
It’s OK, you can be honest. We’re all friends here. ![]()

Tim Tebows feet
. You just made my morning or even my whole Wednesday. That is so funny!!
Brooklyn took a break from your famous bananas and peanut butter to now adding some Cheerios on top of her peanut butter toast and Cheerios are also added to her sliced Apples with peanut butter lol
You have quite a culinary artist on your hands, don’t you?
She could be the next Paula Deen or Emeril!
HAHAHAHAHA Oh my goodness I love you! Thank you for that much-needed collage! I was wondering when you would cave in to your demanding readers!
The best search term that I get CONSTANTLY is “little white booty”.
..Yeah. Not necessarily the kind of people I want reading my blog… haha
Brittany @ Itty Bits of Balance recently posted..WIAW: Random Style
NO WAY! Oh my goodness, that is sooo funny! You need to share that on your blog one day … hilarious!
Ahahahah seriously, that is so incredibly random! But I love that you finally put pictures of his feet and now people will find them

I don’t know!! A foot fettish, perhaps??
Lol I love this! My top google find also has to do with Tim Tebow since that is my puppy’s name! My favorite was ‘Tim Tebow’s love interest.’ Sorry people (and sorry hubby!) but that unfortunately isn’t me! Ha ha
Jana @ Newly Wife Healthy Life recently posted..WIAW: WIAS Edition
Hahaha how funny! I’m sure your husband LOVES that one!
LOL! that is TOO funny!! and you are too funny for putting those photos together. haha.
the only way i’ve ever eaten kale is by making “kale chips” (also using chelsey’s recipe!). i love them and so does cody!
Ashley @ My Food ‘N’ Fitness Diaries recently posted..WIAW #30: A Lazy Day
Now that I have the toaster oven, I want to try kale chips!!
i have a huge bag of kale leftover from making the coconut curry stew and i was planning on trying to make chips with them this weekend!
kaceyt recently posted..Minny’s Chocolate Pie
Oh I know … all of the kale I’ve been sauteeing is leftover from that stew haha!
Im going to be honest, I completely missed the point of this post. As soon as I saw Timmy my mind went blank. Ive got a bit of a soft spot for the guy
p.s. thanks for being such a ROCK this week! your amazing!!

Haha you are too funny. My husband teases me because any time Tim’s on TV, I immediately stop everything I’m doing and I’m ZONED IN on the TV.
Don’t worry Brandon … I love you more! And I’m still praying for ya. In fact, I’m going to do it right now! Have a great day!
Snack #1 definitely caught my eye – that looks so yummy! Strawberries scream summer. It’s so close!
And … Tim Tebow’s feet?! For realz? That’s so funny. I always enjoy reading my own search terms. The other day, someone found me by searching “killed for meat”.
I don’t even know how to react to that.

ha, too funny! who knew that tim tebow’s feet would bring you so many visitors? =) i love kale, too. and the tastiest thing i’ve eaten this week? we made an awesome smokey chicken + white bean chili last night, + i had a straight-up avocado for breakfast this morning that was simply perfection. =)

That’s too funny that people are finding you through Tim Tebow’s feet!
I haven’t tried kale but you are sure making me want to. Maybe I’ll pick up some at TJ’s to experiment…
Best thing I’ve eaten… I dunno my meals have been pretty uneventful this week. I guess tomato basil chicken sausage?
Elizabeth @ Chocolate Drops and Pearls recently posted..Tone It Up!
Definitely try it … especially if you like spinach. It’s like spinach, but better, in my opinion.
I recently started making green monster smoothies and I have noticed I have so much more energy. I am not reaching for that mid afternoon or before my workout coffee.

I don’t know if I want to know, Kadee.
Hahhahaa that is pretty amazing! I mean seriously, what the heck is with that?! Great way to end the day with a Lindt chocolate… I am partial to the milk chocolate myself
most random search i’ve had so far is “going to the dentist in a skirt”…scary!
OH MY WORD! Who are these people???
ok that is hysterical!! I had a bunch of random searches on mine regarding Ryan Gosling, but it didn’t have anything to do with his feet! People are weird, lets just say that. I am scared of kale b/c I heard it has a really unique flavor, but this makes me less scared. And ummmm…chocolate chip goldfish? How have I never heard of these? You are so educational…what would I do without you?!?!?!

That’s what I’m here for, my friend. Just call me the Food Buda.
And if you like spinach, I think you’ll like kale. Do you have a Whole Foods or store like it around you? If so, try one of their hot dishes with kale in it … that’s how I first discovered I liked it!
I love spinach so that is good to know. And we do have a Whole Foods nearby so that is a GREAT suggestion. I am on it!
Cinnamon @ eatpraytri recently posted..Phunny Pinterest Phenomenon
It’s me. I’m the one searching for beloved Timmy’s feet. HA! I love your collage – it made my day!
My favorite way to have kale is simply sauteed or kale chips! I love them!
The best thing I’ve had to eat this week…probably my chocolate coconut smoothie this morning – it hit the spot!

Just Laughed Out Loud at my office desk- that is way too funny! Has there been anything in the news lately about Tim’s feet? I know I’ve heard a lot about him lately though.
i didn’t even know they made Chocolate Goldfish…where have I been?!?
Carrie @ Lift Eat Repeat recently posted..Defining Faith
Great question … they actually just had a story about him getting a pedicure recently. HOWEVER, people have been searching for his feet for MONTHS … way before the pedicure story!
Bwahahahaaahaaaa!!! That’s hysterical! Tim Tebow’s feet! Ha!

LOL this post made my day for sure!!
Catalina @ Cake with Love recently posted..Random Wednesday Post
Honestly, my fav way to prepare kale is in a warm salad form. I prefer it steamed, so I steam it then make kind of a salad/stir fry?

Jessica recently posted..WIAW: Banana Splits Are For Lovers
That is hilarious!! Haha, I’m sure your blog is just what they were looking for. At least they got some good foot wrapping advice right?
I love kale too! I usually switch up my greens every trip to the grocery store and rotate between lettuce, mixed greens, romaine and kale. I’m so laaazzzyyy though and I’ll admit, sometimes I don’t buy kale because I dread all the chopping and removing it from the bitter stem. That’s super lame isn’t it? Don’t judge me

Avery @ YoungAspirations recently posted..April Picture Slide Show
Can’t you buy it in a bag, already ready to go?? I saw that at the store the other day … maybe that would help ya out?
Oh trust me, I don’t judge. I just got home for lunch and I’m STARVING. And cutting up vegetables was the last thing on my mind! I can get my veggies in later today, when I’m not so ravenous!
Hahaha, too funny. I get a lot of people searching for Victoria’s Secret and Victoria’s Secret models. Why they’d click on my page instead of going right to the VS website, I don’t know.
Emily @ Perfection Isn’t Happy recently posted..I’m a Big Girl Now
Hmm… Well, i would be mystified about tims feet searches too! Go look up kale recipes on choosingraw.com, she has really great kale chips and massaged kale salads (omg with avocado!!!) you will be buying bushels of kale…;)
Great tip! Thank you!
Haha, that’s awesome…and really…I mean who googles about Tim Tebow’s feet, that’s so crazy???!
