I wish that the internet had smell-o-vision.
No, really. You want to smell the aroma in my house right now.
It is peanut butter AMAZINGNESS (is that word? it should be…)!
So Peanut Butter Fingers is one of my favorite blogs. And she had this recipe that I just had to try. I actually hadn’t been planning on trying it TONIGHT, but I was bored and I already had all of the ingredients! Well, kinda…
She used 1 cup of regular peanut butter, which I didn’t have. So I used half of my all-natural creamy peanut butter and half of Brandon’s chunky peanut butter (shhh… don’t tell him!
).
So to the 1 cup of peanut butter, I added 1 egg and 1 cup of sugar. I also added 1/2 tsp of vanilla, just because I love vanilla.
I spooned out 14 cookies, but you could probably make them a little bigger and just have a dozen. Baked them for at 350 degrees for 10 minutes (just as Julie suggested), and oh. my goodness. The smell. The amazing, wonderful, sweet, peanut butter smell!
I burned my tongue eating the first one because I was so impatient. So I waited 10 5 minutes to try another one…
They are soft and have a nice texture. I think they aren’t too sweet because I used 1/2 all natural peanut butter (which doesn’t contain any added sugar). And I actually liked the chunks of peanuts from using a 1/2 c. of Brandon’s chunky peanut butter (thanks, sweetie!
).
All in all, definitely a success. Thanks to Julie at Peanut Butter Fingers for helping make my Tuesday night a little sweeter!
