I can’t believe that today is September 1st. Summer sure did fly by, didn’t it?
Although some people dislike the month of September because it means the start of another school year, I always look forward to September for one main reason …
Yes, it’s my birthday month. I will be turning the big 2-8 in less than a week.
But I have to say that I’m also excited that it’s September because I’m looking forward to the start of the fall season! I LOVE summer, but I do love autumn here in Ohio. The leaves are gorgeous and the weather is perfect. I’m looking forward to college football, pumpkin spice lattes, and the smell of bonfires in the air.
Today, as one month ends and another begins, I want to look back on the month of August and remember some of the good times of summer …
August was a month of many fairs, festivals, and other fun events!
At the very beginning of the month, I was able to enjoy a family dinner with several of Brandon’s family members.
I also spoke about my fabulous mother-in-law in that post.
Then came the fairs!
We enjoyed fried Twinkies and fried dough at the County Fair.
We had buffalo dip and brownies before heading to the track to watch cars run into each other.
And on another weekend, we kept busy at Bremen-Fest …
… followed by a day at the Kentucky State Fair!
Earlier this month, I shared an explanation about what my job entails …
I was also super busy in the kitchen during the month of August…
It’s hard to say which of those recipes I enjoyed the most, but I would probably choose the BBQ Chicken Pizza or the Puffy Peanut Butter Cookies.
So that about wraps up my month of August!!
And now I have a question for you!
What did you do in August that was fun and exciting?
What are you most looking forward to in the month of September?
