Annnnd it’s Monday again.
Crazy how quickly that happens, isn’t it? 
Hope everybody had a great weekend! On Saturday, I had the opportunity to try out my new running shoes again, with a 5-mile run on the treadmill (obviously I’m not putting my cold weather running gear to good use … 
). Once again, the run went well, with very little shin pain. So fingers crossed that my new gear helps keep those shin splints under control!!
Then later on Saturday, we had a wedding to attend! 
On the way to the wedding, I took a picture of my fingers. Why did I take a picture of my fingers? No, not to show you how pretty and manicured they are. That would make too much sense. Instead, I took the picture to show you what I meant when I said that I have a horrible habit of messing with the skin around my fingers!
Can you see all that redness? That would be where I picked off large quantities of skin. Super attractive, right? Brandon is a lucky, lucky man. 
So anyways, back to the wedding!
The groom, Gregg, works with Brandon. So a bunch of the guys Brandon works with were also in attendance.
Prior to the reception, we met up with several of the guys and their wives for some pre-reception fun!
Lance and Nichole’s daughter, Kinsley, loves my camera. A lot. So every time I see her, she makes a beeline for my purse and that camera.

That’s me with the “arteest” herself, Miss Kinsley. Mom and Dad, get this child a camera, so she’ll leave mine alone. 
Once we got to the reception, we grabbed some drinks, which included a very cool wedding favor.
After a dinner of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans (all very tasty), we grabbed ourselves a couple of these:
We may or may not have gone back for seconds. I’ll never tell. 
After dinner, we had quite a photo shoot. As Brandon pointed out to me, this wedding was probably his “last hurrah” with his work buddies, before moving to Atlanta. So photos to commemorate the evening were a must!

1. I can’t believe how pale I am in these pictures … and this is with tanning lotion!
2. I’m wearing heels in this picture, while Ali had to take hers off. In the original picture, I looked like a toddler next to her. 
3. I hate wearing tights. Hate it. Not only are they uncomfortable, but I think I look silly with black legs and white arms. Anyone else feel this way?

Yeah, like I said, it was quite the photo shoot!!
But we eventually gave the camera a break and spent the rest of the night just hanging out and talking … with a brief intermission for the Cupid Shuffle, of course.

I prefer vanilla when it comes to cake and ice cream. For basically everything else, it’s chocolate all the way!

I have the same bad habit about the skin on my fingers. I just need to stop! I had stopped for awhile but apparently reverted. About tights…I used to hate them but have been really liking gray tights or sweater tights. My husband makes fun of me for wearing boots with tights (and a skirt) but I sort of like them in that ensemble. Ideally, if it were warm, they would not be necessary.

I had stopped for a little while, too … not sure why I reverted back!
My fingers look just like that… Only I tend to make them bleed too. I try keeping them painted but that diesnt help much because I don’t bite my nails, I just pick at the skin!
And yes, I dance at weddings!

Oh I make mine bleed, too!! I have to put band-aids on quite often!!
Chocolate 100%!!! great pics from the wedding! Looks like fun:-) I really dislike wearing tights. It could be 7 degrees out, and I will not wear tights with a dress. never.
I love weddings although I must say, I am NOT ok with cupcakes instead of cake!! I want my cake people
And I totally prefer a vanilla cake. For some reason Im not a big fan of chocolate cakes. Its even better though if it has chocolate frosting. Thats a win win in my book!

this weekend i got my hair done, took a nasty tumble during my long run, and got really sick off eating at cheesecake factory. it sounds terrible, but i still had a nice weekend

i wear tights if the dress is really short or if its really cold outside..i dont mind it. but i guess my skin is a little darker..so i can see where you are coming from!

Glad you had fun, the gray chiffon dress is one of my favorite dresses you own! And don’t worry about too white..lol. I used to worry all the time, especially being hispanic and everyone saying “but you’re so white!” lol. We all know hispanics can only be very brown or tan..haha. I’ve since then embraced my “whiteness” when I can get a tan, I do, but besides that I am ok with it now!

I love weddings and I always dance! Its the perfect place to let loose and dance with friends and family. Wedding music is so much fun!

Aw that sounds like such a good time! I don’t pick at the skin around my fingers necessarily, but I pick at the cuticles and for some reason I have a lot of hang nails- so annoying haha. And you do not that pale…in fact I think you look really pretty! Hope you have a great Monday girlie <3

and i think i prefer vanilla for cake too. or a vanilla choc mix!
looks like you guys had fun! And i majorly pick at my cuticles and peel the skin back too it is horrible. I noticed lately though that i do a lot better at not picking when my nails are painted.

i’m exactly the same when it comes to vanilla vs. chocolate… i opt for vanilla with cake & ice cream, but everything else i like chocolate better. i’m tellin ya, we have the same tastes!

If there is good music(and copious amounts of alcohol) at a wedding then I’m totally on the dance floor all night. Can’t say that I’m good, but at least people get a kick out of seeing me act like a fool.
