O-H … I-O!

Good morning, friends!

Sorry I’ve been a little MIA from the blog world recently.  We were in Ohio for 10 days visiting with Brandon’s family (and he was working).  Then since we’ve been home, I’ve been having some computer issues.  But I think we’re finally back up and running! Smile

We had a very special week in Ohio.  Addie is blessed to have so many people who love her and wanted to spend time with her!

Just to name a few …

Papa George,

Grandma Busha (one of her great-grandmothers),

Uncle Matt,

Aunt Christi and her cousins,

and second-cousin Gabrielle and her boyfriend, Aden.

Most of the week was honestly spent hanging around the house with Nana and taking entirely too many pictures of Addie.

She also spent lots of time with her cousins.  They were completely enamored by her.

I’ll tell you what … those girls are going to make great mommas one day!

We were also fortunate enough to get to attend cousin Jessica’s wedding!

She was such a beautiful and glowing bride!  It was fun to see the big smiles on her and her new husband’s faces!

And of course, we had to take advantage of the fact that we had the whole family together, and pose for a family photo!

The fact that that photo turned out as well as it did was truly a miracle! Winking smile

It was a great week, but it was also a week of growth for me.  By nature, I’m not exactly what you would call a “flexible” person.  But with each new experience with Addison, I’m having to get outside of my comfort zone and learn to be a bit more flexible.  And traveling with an infant is one of the best ways to train yourself to be more flexible!

I think the Lord blesses us with children for many reasons.  And I believe one of those reasons is for personal growth.  As difficult as it can be to move through these seasons of growth, I’m thankful that my Lord cares about me enough to bring me through them!

Question for you …

Update me on your life!

Thoughts on the finale of the Bachelorette?

Let me just say … “Reality Steve” was wrong!!  The whole season, I thought Brooks was the winner because Steve had said so.  But I’m really happy with the outcome.  I always liked Chris. Smile

Who’s your current favorite on Big Brother?

I used to like Amanda, but that’s no longer the case.  I really don’t have a clear favorite right now.  But I do I think McCrae is playing a really smart game … or at least he’s trying to!

Ahh you were in my neck of the woods! So sad I missed your visit to Ohio! :(

Love that family picture of three of you! Gorgeous!

And yes, I read that Brooke won from reality Steve too which is a big reason I didn’t watch this season.. I wasn’t a fan of his! Glad Chris was chosen too! What are your thoughts on the new bachelor? I don’t know much about him!

I like Juan Pablo, but I guess I’m a little surprised he’s the next Bachelor, as he didn’t get a lot of airtime this season. But evidently, he has a huge female following already haha! So I guess ABC took notice!

I totally agree that becoming a mom has definitely grown me as well. Traveling with an infant is certainly a challenge, but we got through it and learned a lot by it all. And yes, thank goodness God is always right by our side! I definitely couldn’t do it without Him!

      Amen to that!

It’s nice to have so many people to help with baby duty but traveling definitely requires flexibility and adapting to change! Glad you enjoyed your time.

Goodness I hear you on the flexibility thing. I tend to get upset when my schedule gets thrown off but the babies do that constantly!!

Um, especially with two. I’m sure it requires double (or triple!) flexibility!

That towel pic! Love it! Totally agree about traveling with a newborn. Honestly, though, crawlers and toddlers require flexibility even more! She’s a beauty! Have fun :)

Haha great, so things don’t get easier then, huh? ;)

There’s always the ebb and flow :) Honestly, there are trade-offs with every age. Even when they’re grown and out of the house, they come back talking about how they’ve changed their mind about LIFE and now want to go to med school and “Can you guys pay for it? it’s really expensive.” And when you tell them “no” it’s amazing how you’re transported back to the toddler years and teen years combined! But it is all SO WORTH IT!!!!

My friend got me a bunch of those headbands off of Etsy. They came in several colors, and I love them!

I’m definitely someone with “flexibility” issues…and no, not my muscles. ;-) Although I Don’t have a baby, (yet), I know it can be a struggle.
Looks like such a fun, family filled week!

Addie is so cute! Glad you are finding the ability to be flexible…I had a hard time being flexible at all when our oldest was that little! And you look great, by the way!

I really related to you on not really being a “flexible” person. The Lord has also been using my situations and environment to bring me out of that and learn to let go of trying to control everything. You said it well. It’s hard, but I’m thankful for His loving sanctification! Ps – you are still glowing! So pretty!
