My butt-kicking workout + Whatcha Reading

In Sweetness and In Health

Happy Friday, everyone!  Today I wanted to show all of you an awesome workout I did this week, plus support my girl Lindsay and her “FLOW” movement!

A couple of days ago, I decided that I wanted to mix things up a little bit.  I am definitely guilty of staying in my comfort zone when it comes to working out, but I was in the mood to get a serious sweat on! Winking smile

The first part of the workout I was even able to do in our hotel room.  I only needed two things:

1. My tennis shoes


2. A stopwatch


The workout came from Courtney’s blog.  She called it her “25 minute full body blast workout,” and I quickly discovered how accurate that name was!!

The second part of my workout was inspired by a workout Julie posted.  It was a treadmill workout, and you can view her original by clicking on that link!

I changed it up a little, mostly because running at a 9.0 seemed a little too ambitious for me. Winking smile  But I think my final result was still pretty awesome!












Each minute: 7.0 for 25 seconds, 4.0 for remainder of minute.

I felt awesome after completing this entire workout!  So go challenge yourself today … I promise you won’t regret it! Smile


I also wanted to do another “Whatcha Reading Weekend” post, because I’ve been reading some really great things on ya’ll blogs.  The tough part is … how do I choose which ones to share??

1. OK this one is an easy one.  If anyone follow Janae’s blog and hasn’t heard the news yet, well … you’re living under a rock.  Miss Janae is preggers with a little running-baby!  So run over to her blog and congratulate her! Smile

2. My “real life” friend Lindsay wrote a great post about battling fear.  She shared some powerful verses from Scripture that help to fight the battle against fear! Thumbs up

3. Holly posted a torturously-delicious looking recipe for baked blueberry cake donuts.  Too bad I currently don’t own a donut pan and currently don’t have access to an oven. Annoyed Thanks, Holly.  Thanks a bunch.

4. Cinnamon posted a recipe for her “world-famous” guacamole.  And guess what?  It only contains three ingredients!  Score!  I need to make this soon!

    oh gosh it was 80 here yesterday!! I went to target and got me some shorts :) I cant wait to go summer dress shopping now! Although I am a little sad to be putting away all my boots. I guess I can still use them at night though :)

    I’ve got a date tonight (eee) but that’s the only major plan I have. I’m hoping to just unwind and read by the pool – maybe brave a bag sale @ one of my favorite stores!

    I’m so bad about incorporating variety into my workouts so I rely on group classes to break me of my repetitiveness :) I plan on going to a spin class tomorrow morning and hopefully doing a Body Works class on Monday night.
