I thought that Jessica’s Peanut Butter Cookies were some of the best cookies I had ever eaten.
Until I made her Giant M&M Cookies this past weekend.
I now have a new love, my friends. ![]()
I made these cookies for a holiday party that we attended with Brandon’s work colleagues on Saturday.
Not going to lie … after I tasted one, I kind of wanted to keep them all for myself. ![]()
I used Jessica’s exact recipe and they turned out perfectly.
Just a couple of notes …
1. I saw a few people comment on Jessica’s recipe that they couldn’t find mini M&Ms. I found them in the candy aisle of my grocery store … which is just a Super Wal-Mart, not any kind of special grocery store! So be sure to look carefully through the candy aisle if you can’t find them in the baking section!
2. People also commented on Jessica’s recipe that their batter was too wet. You have to make sure you cool your butter after you melt it. I’m just repeating what Jessica said … this isn’t my original idea! I stuck my butter in the fridge for about 15 minutes, and it seemed to work well!
3. I also put my dough in the fridge for about 20 minutes before forming the cookies. I don’t know if it really mattered or not, but since my cookies turned out so well, I would recommend this step! ![]()
4. I followed Jessica’s advice about how to form the cookies on the baking sheet.
Mine didn’t look quite as “cute” as hers, but they still resulted in the same amazing cookies!
Brandon also loved these cookies.
He seems to prefer simple, basic recipes. Adding too much “stuff” into a cookie isn’t his thing.
A simple, delicious sugar cookie with mini M&M’s, however, was right up his alley. ![]()
So go make these. Hurry up … what are you waiting for??

YUMMY
. Those seriously look awesome. And M&Ms are amazing. I bet those would taste good with pretzel M&Ms too!

my husband is the same way with cookies. he would much rather prefer a good ol’ traditional chocolate chip cookie than a cookie stuffed with a bunch of other stuff. these cookies look so colorful and cute! great job!

Mmmm – who doesn’t love an M&M cookie? I’m going to have to make these, but I must wait til after we get back from Mexico – otherwise I may eat them all and not be able to fit into my cute swimsuit.
Have a great day!

Lovely! My hubs prefers “basic” too… He is forever asking me to just make chocolate chip cookies, and I’m always trying some new crazy recipe!

Me too!! I like lots of bold flavors, and he doesn’t. But I hope to keep stretching his palette haha!
Too funny ~ Terry and I have been together for 10 years, and I do have to say that his eating is night and day compared to when I first got my hooks into him! I still have big plans for moving him forward though

Haha you and me both, Katie! Let me know if you have any tips!!
YUM. I agree with your husband – keep it simple with baking! The fact that these look delicious amidst my current sugar coma (it has been a week of treats this week before winter break) says a lot.

Haha I know … I think we are all in a sugar coma right about now.
