Fun Friday #6

1. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with their families! We had a great day relaxing at my mom’s house. We ate plenty of food and just enjoyed the day together!

2. Just when I thought we had gone through enough motor skill milestones for the month:

addie standing up

… Addison is now pulling herself up!

It started the weekend before we left for Florida, with her holding on to the laundry basket:

And now she is pulling herself up in her crib, on the couch, and really anything else she can get her hands on.  This momma is both sad at how quickly she’s growing up and proud of her accomplishments!

3. Addie and her cousins met Santa this week.

That was the only picture we got before Addie moved from shock to horror.  Let’s just say that she was less than impressed with jolly old Saint Nicholas. Winking smile

4. My mom and I left Addie with Brandon one night and went to see this:

catching fire

I loved it.  I actually enjoyed it more than the first movie!  Two thumbs up!

5. Addie left her mark on me this week.

See those bruises?  Those are from my little vampire girl!  She was sucking on my arm and left me with what looks like hickies!  So much for wearing sleeveless shirts this week! Annoyed

6. A friend shared this sweet blog post with me recently.  Sometimes we need to remember to stop and smell the roses. The laundry and dishes will get done eventually.

7. Anyone doing Black Friday shopping today??  Brandon and I saw tents in front of Best Buy on MONDAY.  Monday!  Are the deals really so great that people are willing to camp out ALL WEEK for them?  That’s just crazy to me.  But hey, to each their own!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Question for ya …

How was your Thanksgiving?  What was the best thing you ate?

Anyone else see the new Hunger Games movie yet?  Thoughts?

If you’re shopping today, what stores are you hitting up?

I’m so impressed with Addie’s motor skills! Wow! We had a fabulous first Thanksgiving w our little girl. She was an angel and tried a few new foods (mashed potatoes and turkey!) She then sat at the table with everyone and smacked her lips pathetically at my my mother so she would feed her more. Smart girl! We are heading out to KMart in a bit to shop (50% off all Christmas decorations) but otherwise online shopping. There is no way I would have hung out in a tent for 4 or 5 days for a sale!

I want to see the new Hunger Games movie soooo badly! I just need to figure out a babysitter/time for Hunter. I’m hoping next weekend…

Hunter gives me hickies too. When he gets hungry, he buries his head in my neck and sucks on me. It’s so funny. LOL. I think it’s a comfort thing for him?

I am certainly NOT one of those crazy Black Friday shoppers, but I will go out later this morning/early afternoon to hit up a few stores to see if I can get anything after the crazy crowds die down. I’ve done that one other year, and it wasn’t bad at all. I’ll probably go to Old Navy, Target, Scheel’s (sporting goods store), and Kohl’s.

I know what you mean — my baby is walking! I miss that tiny little bundle that would curl up and sleep on my chest. Now I’m lucky if I can get him to stay in my arms without trying to lean down to the floor to play some more!

But I really got to enjoy his bond with his big brother yesterday for Thanksgiving. Sage was crying inconsolable — which is really unusual. Hubby was holding big brother, and I was holding him — he reached for them, and I held him out so he was hugging his big brother and Daddy. Big Brother giggled, then he giggled, and all was well!! He just wanted his brother! Since he started walking, they’ve been able to play together more, and their bond has gotten deeper. It makes me so happy.

Everything was delicious. Yesterday I was gloating over my thanksgiving cooking abilities.

I haven’t seen any of the hunger games movies yet. I’ve been meaning to catch the first on netflix. Maybel I’ll have to do that this weekend.

I love the second picture of her standing with the basket, that “I DID it!” face!!!

Have a great rest of the Thanksgiving weekend!

saw Catching Fire yesterday and loved it. I think it might be my favorite out of the three. I’m still stumped as to how they are going to make the third book into a movie. Have you read it?

I have read it. But it’s been a while … so I don’t remember all of the details. It will definitely be interesting to see how they do it!

Those pics of Addie holding on to the laundry basket are so cute…love her facial expressions! Our Thanksgiving was great! The whole family went to see Catching Fire and we love it, as well! Too bad the third one will probably take forever to be in theaters:P

Yeah I know what you mean about the 3rd Hunger Games movie. It felt like there was such a huge gap between the first and second ones!
