Greetings! Smile

Recently I haven’t been in the mood to try a lot of new recipes.  Instead, I keep going back to some tried and true favorites.

So today I thought I’d share some of my favorite recipes.

Ones that I’ve made on numerous occasions because:

a. They’re just so good, and

b. They’re just so easy (Except for the chicken lasagna … that one takes a little extra work, but it’s worth it!).

To be clear, I never post recipes on my blog that I don’t enjoy eating.  But I do have my favorites.  And I thought I’d share a few today.

Click on the links above the pictures to check out the original recipes!

Happy Cooking! Smile

Question for ya …

Best thing you’ve eaten this week?

Do you have a certain recipe that you make over and over?  If you can share the link, please do so!

Thoughts on The Bachelor this week?

Here’s my thoughts.  I think he already knows who he’s picking in the end.  So he sent the girl home this week that he knew would be the most devastated at the end if she wasn’t chosen, because he didn’t want to prolong things for her.  I could be wrong, but that’s my guess.

Absolutely brilliant thought about The Bachelor. I agree completely. My sister told me who wins. Seriously so mad at her!

Haha my friend slipped today and told me, too. I’ll be very curious to watch the finale to see if she’s right! The guy who does the spoilers has been wrong in the past …

Can’t wait to try some new recipes! I am in a food rut! I have been trying monthly meal planning and it has been so depressing to see how many meals I make. I have one picky husband! I was very sad to see Ashley leave. I really liked her. I am now pulling for Lindsay!

How’s the monthly meal planning going?? I feel like I need to be doing something differently to try to save money at the grocery store!

      • Tamara

Well, I plan the month but I don’t think it saves me much money. I can’t do all of my grocery shopping for a whole month. I still have to go for bread, produce, milk and of course the other things we crave. The monthly plan mostly saves me time. Tried your taco lasagna tonight and it was fantastic!

  3. Jana @ Happy Wife Healthy Life

These all look great girl! I really want to try the chicken Caesar and the chicken dumplings in the slow cooker. I am always looking for easy week night dinners that are already done by the time I get home from work!

The chicken caesar is CRAZY easy and so good. But I highly recommend using chicken thighs and the specific brand of dressing I suggested in the original recipe. I tried using breasts and it was fine, but not as flavorful!

  4. Sarah @ The Smart Kitchen

I would like Taco Lasagna with a side of Chili and a Pumpkin Whoopie pie, please. :)

Cody would love all of these pasta dinners! I swear the boy could be happy with pasta and pizza the rest of his life. ;) I still want to try out those chocolate chip cookies and pumpkin whoopie pies!

P.S. Been thinking of you. Hope today is better! xoxo

These all look like really yummy comfort food dishes!
I haven’t watched this week’s Bachelor–is it worth watching (since I already know who was sent home?)

This post is for sure getting bookmarked because I always love your recipes when I end up making them. This will help my meal planner for the next month. ;-)

I totally agree with your thought on the Bachelor. I was surprised he even waited to the rose ceremony. I bet he wanted to tell her sooner and they made him wait. I was a little surprised at how mad she was…but then again…I’ve never been in that situation so its got to be pretty crazy. Think she will be the next Bachelorette? Or is she too serious?

I think she’s too serious to be the next Bachelorette. Hmm, but that brings up a good question. Who would they choose from this season to be the next one? I’m thinking maybe Lesley from DC??

  9. Jen@HealthyFoodandFamily

All of the recipes look great! All of the spoilers say he’s picking a certain person, but I really hope not!!!! I had a feeling he was going to send Ashlee home, I liked her, but I think she was too intense for him.

    • notsodomesticated

My big mouth friend (who I love haha) slipped to me today about who he picked. I will be VERY curious to watch the final episode!

  10. Kathy

Thanks for the recipes! I too have been making the ‘tried and true’ dinners lately but only because I can’t think of anything new that sounds good. So I am excited to try some of these out and get out of my rut!

The recipes look GREAT! Def. have to try that chicken caesar one! Also, one of my fave go-to recipes is “super easy leftover chicken fried rice.” Here’s the link: http://www.beautejadore.com/2012/03/super-easy-leftover-chicken-fried-rice.html

Super easy to make, delicious and much healthier than buying take-out, lol. It’s a great go-to recipe when I’m in the mood to order out, but prefer not to indulge too much.

    • notsodomesticated

      Yum, sounds great, Koryn!!

I was thinking the dinners looked good as I read your blog post, but then I got to the desserts! Definitely going to have to make some of those!

I’m about 4 weeks behind on the Bachelor, so I’m really curious as to what your thoughts are referring to! I need to catch up!
