Happy Monday, everyone!
What did everyone do this weekend?
We worked around the house a little on Saturday, followed by a date night that night at a local restaurant. Sunday we had church, and then did a whole lot of nothing the rest of the day. It was glorious. ![]()

Today I’m going to talk about our fun times in France!
First up, Toulon!
Toulon was a small village by the water.
You could easily walk around almost the entire town.
Every Sunday, there is a farmer’s market in the heart of Toulon.
And guess what day we were there?? ![]()
We spent the entire morning strolling around the town and looking at all of the delicious goodies in the store windows.
We eventually took a break and shared a beignet and a couple of coffees, while sitting outside and enjoying the gorgeous weather.
Hands down, best thing I ate all week!
We continued with our walk and took a few more pictures.
Eventually, it was time for lunch!
I really wanted a crêpe while we were in France, so we split a basic ham and cheese crêpe .
It was really good, but I couldn’t imagine eating the entire thing by myself! I was stuffed after half!
After lunch, we decided that we were ready to go back on the boat for some pool time!
The next day, we docked in Villefranche, and then took a train to Monaco and Monte Carlo!
Um, this place was gor-geous.
I really couldn’t stop taking pictures, because I was amazed at the beauty of the scenery.
After a long hike, we found ourselves at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo.
And after another very short walk, we found ourselves at the very famous …
… Monte Carlo casino!
The pictures don’t even do it justice! So so beautiful.
Want to know Brandon’s favorite part of Monaco?
The cars, of course!
I know most of my readers care more about food than cars (I know I do!), but evidently these are some really nice cars.
The white one in the top picture is supposedly worth $4 million. Four million dollars. For a car.
I wonder how many cupcakes that would buy? ![]()

Question for ya …
What did you do this weekend?
If you’re watching Big Brother, do you think the coaches should be put back into the game, or stay as coaches?
What would you do with 4 million dollars??
I would put a Ben & Jerry’s shop in my house.
That’s normal, right?

I’m SO envious of this trip!!!! May I ask how much it cost and what cruise line you used? Travis and I would love to do something like this!
I don’t mind at all! It was Royal Caribbean, Liberty of the Seas. And the cost of the 7 day cruise was around $2500. So not cheap, but once you’re on the boat, you really don’t need to spend much money. All of the food is included, and they have some truly incredible meals! If you end up deciding to book a cruise, you can always email me with more questions. It was probably the best vacation I’ve ever been on (other than my honeymoon, of course haha!).
Did you utilize your high school french class skills while in France? hehe!
I can’t decide if I want the coaches to come back into the game. One on hand I’m sick of the whole “veteran players come back” thing, especially since two have already won. On the other hand I like Britney and I want her to win, lol. I didn’t watch when Mike Boogie was on but I have to say I find him very annoying!
I used to really like Boogie, because he was a Gator (which is the college I went to). But he’s more annoying this season so far. And yes, I actually did get to use a little of my French haha! In Toulon, they really didn’t speak any English at all, so thank goodness I knew a little (I also took French in college. I don’t think I would have remembered my HS French!).
HOLY CARS!! My husband wouldve FREAKED if he had seen those!! Hes such a car buff

Wow, those pictures are beautiful, I want to take a European vacation now! What cruise line did you use?

Royal Caribbean, and the boat was Liberty of the Seas. It was great, and I’d recommend it to anyone!
Those cars are insane!! I’d probably be more all over the food too though. I’ve been watching as much Olympics as possible over the weekend!

Who WOULDN’T put an ice cream shop in their house? [I would subsequently invest lots of money in Lactaid as well.]
I am so jealous of your travels. I am feeling a strong need to FINALLY visit Europe…

GORGEOUS photos! I agree about the in-house ice cream shop. I would use the money for travel more than anything else (along with paying off our house & our parents’ homes and tithing).

Your pictures are absolutely beautiful! Was the weather perfect, as well?
I had a beignet this summer when I visited my sister in Lousiana, but it looks like yours had chocolate in it! That would have made it even more delicious!

The weather was perfect for most of the trip … low 80′s and sunny. Then it got super hot when we were in Rome and Capri, but it’s OK because at least it never rained!
Suffice it to say that both Toulon and Monaco are now on my list of places to go! Both look absolutely amazing!
Sam has actually been on a cruise that stopped in Monaco, so I’ll have to ask him if he went to Toulon also!
