First of all, just a warning that I’m going to be talking about “The Bachelorette”… so if you don’t want to hear it, turn away!
Many thanks to everyone for your comments and suggestions regarding my running shoes!! I really appreciate your input. I’m definitely taking Brandon back to “Fit 2 Run” later this week to see what he thinks!
Last night my mom and I took Sophie to the dog park to see her puppy friends. Sophie is quite the social butterfly… all of the other dogs love her.
She had a great time running around, playing fetch (although she hasn’t quite mastered the concept yet), and sniffing the other dogs’ behinds (don’t worry… I didn’t get that lovely image on film!).
Unfortunately, though, it had rained earlier that evening. So it was hot, muggy, and wet. So we made it a short visit and headed back to the house so that I could watch “The Bachelorette” (priorities, people! ).
What did everyone think about last night’s episode?? I was glad that Ryan left. I liked him at the beginning, but I didn’t think he was right for Ashley. I’m still a huge JP fan. And I think the producers edited it to seem like he was even more upset than he really was about Ashley’s other dates. Yes, I’m sure it was hard for him to watch her with other guys. He obviously really likes her, so he’s going to be a little upset. But the producers always seem to take one little nugget of “drama” and blow it up to monumental proportions!
And what did you think of Emily’s interview? It seemed pretty genuine… those kind of emotions are difficult to fake! Rumor has it that Emily may be the next “Bachelorette.” Would you watch her season? I would, just because I watch EVERY season! But it kind of surprises me that she would subject her and her daughter to more public scrutiny. I guess the money might be worth it?!
This morning I got up at 6am to run before it got too hot out. Although it wasn’t too hot, it was very humid… the kind of humid where you sweat as soon as you walk out the front door. I was a little worried that the humidity would affect my run, but I seemed to do OK.
I ran 3 miles before returning home, completely drenched. Another lovely mental image there, right?
I will say that I’m noticing my toes do seem to be pressed up again the front of my shoes. Not sure if part of this is mental, since getting re-sized yesterday… but it’s definitely worth more consideration. The idea of black toenails just does not appeal to me!
Breakfast this morning was my typical peanut butter and banana on whole wheat toast. But I also had a yummy smoothie to go with it.
Here’s what was in the smoothie:
- lowfat milk
- plain yogurt
- frozen blueberries
- frozen banana
- peach (with skin removed)
The frozen berries and banana helped to make it nice and thick, even without the use of ice. Tasty and nutritious… great way to start the day!
This afternoon I’m going with my mom and sister-in-law, Christi, to get pedicures. Then I’m meeting some of my dear friends from church for coffee. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone!
Have a great Tuesday!
Question for ya…
What is your favorite nail polish color this summer?
(Personally, I’m loving bright pink! )
