If you were at our house recently, you would see …
… that Addie is now 19 weeks old.
She is slobbering like a madwoman, laughing when her belly and neck get tickled, and loving walks in the Ergo carrier.
She also appears to be camera-shy. You’re more likely to get a photo of Big Foot or the Loch Ness Monster than you are a photo of Addie smiling!
… that I’ve finally started running again. It’s been almost a year since I last ran.
I ran in a 5k with some friends from church in September 2012. I was 10 or 11 weeks pregnant. I haven’t done any running since. It feels good to finally get back out there, but boy, am I sore!
… that the bed in our guest room is unmade. Why? Because I’ve been sleeping down there for a couple of months now. Despite the fact that Addie sleeps 11 hours at night, and has been for a while now, I still can’t sleep upstairs in my own bedroom (which is close to her room). When I try to sleep up there, I wake up several times in the night, thinking that I can hear her cry. So instead, I sleep downstairs. I think Brandon likes having our king-sized bed to himself, anyway. But he’s going to have to make room because I’ll be joining him in about a week, when my mom comes to town and needs a bed of her own!
… that I have leftover cookies in my kitchen. I baked them for my friend’s baby shower over the weekend.
Margaret Leigh (in the middle) is about to have her FOURTH boy! She insisted that she didn’t want a typical shower, because she already has everything she needs for the little one. But she let us put together an event to celebrate baby Brayden’s impending arrival!
(The two lovely ladies to the left and right are also pregnant! There’s baby-fever at our church!)
… that I am not-so eagerly anticipating my birthday, which is a week from Saturday. Folks, I am turning the big 3-0. Seriously, where did my 20’s go?
(Pretty sure I’m 20 or 21 in that photo. I can’t remember. I’m turning 30, so my memory is already starting to go. )
The good news is that my mom is coming to town for my birthday. She’s going to watch Addie overnight, so that Brandon and I can stay downtown and celebrate! It will be my first full night away from Addison. I don’t know if I’ll cheer or cry! (Probably both.)
… that Addie is now loving her jumper. She didn’t get the concept initially, but now that she has, she’s having a ball!
And that’s what’s been going on around here! Tell me what’s new in your lives?!
Question for ya …
What’s new in your life lately?
Those of you watching Big Brother … who do you think will be the next to go??
I am dying to have Amanda or McCrae get the boot!!
