Cake Batter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Good morning, friends. Smile

I don’t have a whole lot of time to write today (an 8 pound pooping machine seems to be keeping me pretty busy these days Winking smile), but I did want to share a super delicious recipe with you!

cake batter choc chip cookies

I can’t take credit for this recipe at all.  I followed Sally’s recipe exactly.

I even made little cookie “towers” like she did.

But I will happily take credit for how delicious these bad boys turned out to be.

They were soft and chewy, with the perfect amount of cake batter flavor.

Yet they still tasted like good, old-fashioned chocolate chip cookies.

Even Brandon gave them two thumbs up … which is surprising, because he doesn’t like his desserts to be “gussied up.”

He thinks a chocolate chip cookie should just be a chocolate chip cookie.

He also thinks that cheesecake is best served plain or with strawberries only.

Silly, silly boy.

Anyway, I digress.  The point is, these cookies rock.  So click here to go check out Sally’s original recipe

You’re welcome in advance. Winking smile

Question for ya …

What did you do this weekend?

Let me live vicariously through you!

Those who have kids: any tips on relieving gas in newborns?  We’ve already tried several things, but I’m open to suggestions!

You’re welcome! I only rewrite recipes when I change something. Otherwise, I try to just link it back. :) And when I do rewrite it, I always make sure to do it in my own words!! I try to follow proper blogging protocol haha! ;)

Hope you have a great day!

These look delicious! I’ve never made cookies using the tower method before, but I’ve seen it in a couple of other recipes. I had to smile at the reference to the 8 pound pooping machine:)

These look so yummy! I made lemon cookies for a Mother’s Day lunch for Tim’s mom. They were the same ones I made for Easter and were such a hit, they got requested again! :)

They look great! For baby, have you tried Mylicon or Little Tummies gas drops? Those were a lifesaver when I was a nanny for an infant!

Yum! Cody is the same way as Brandon with food – silly boys!

I would recommend gas drops, making sure Addie burps often, and rolling her little legs up to her chest to help relieve the gas. Are you sure it’s gas that’s the culprit?

I think I need to make these for when my parents are in town. They look like crowd pleasers. As for gas…I use just plain ol gas-x. I wonder if they have that for babies??
