Now that it’s October, I’m all about fall festivities. Planning Halloween costumes, ordering Pumpkin Spice Lattes, and of course … taking Addie to her first pumpkin patch!
On Saturday, we all loaded in to the car and headed for a local farm.
Brandon and I were looking forward to showing Addie the pumpkins at the farm …
… as well as the animals!
This horse really took a liking to Addie. And she seemed to like him, as well!
Meanwhile, I was trying not to freak out when he leaned forward to try to give Addie some horsey kisses!
Addie was also pretty curious when we visited the baby goats.
Since it was 85 degrees and sunny that day, we spent several minutes in the shade, hanging with the goats!
Of course, what trip to the farm would be complete without the mandatory photo shoot?
Believe it or not, we didn’t end up leaving with any pumpkins! Instead, we opted for a butternut squash.
I figured I could roast and puree it for her to eat. Plus, I kind of had to buy it after she licked it.
After a while, girl friend got tired of all the picture-taking.
Plus, it was about time for her nap.
So we decided to say good-bye to the farm and hit the road!
It was a really fun day, but I’m pretty sure it was more fun for Brandon and me than for the peanut. But we’ll definitely be returning next year! She’ll be around 18 months (crazy!), and I’m guessing the animals will be much more exciting to her then!
Hope everyone else had a great weekend!
Question for ya …
