It was a big weekend in our house!
On Sunday, not only did we celebrate Father’s Day, but we also celebrated Addie turning two months old!
You can tell how thrilled she is with the photo shoot.
To celebrate Father’s Day, the whole family headed to church on Sunday morning.
Passion City did a really nice message geared towards fathers.
And I know this father was proud to show off his little girl.
This was only our second time at church since Addie was born (well, Brandon has gone other days, but Addie and I have stayed home). This time went a little more smoothly than last because I put her in the Moby for most of the message. She passed out for a good hour, while I bounced around the mothers’ room, holding her. I’m hoping that in another month or so, I’ll feel comfortable putting her in Bloom (our baby/preschool program). But I’m just not there yet!
After church, we came home to a lunch of homemade lasagna.
Lasagna is Brandon’s favorite food. I’m always scared to make it because it’s his favorite food. But I finally sucked it up in honor of Father’s Day.
We also had a little photo shoot.
It’s rare that I’m in real clothes these days, so we had to take advantage.
Unfortunately, Addie wasn’t feeling the photo shoot as much as her parents.
Oh, well. “A” for effort!
And finally, here’s a couple of videos from the past week.
First up, another video of Addie smiling (and hiccupping!)
And here’s a video of her rolling over. She’s actually been doing it (inconsistently) since she was 4 weeks old, but I finally managed to catch it on video! It was quite an exciting moment for this momma.
Hope everyone had a great Father’s Day weekend!
Question for ya …
What did you do this weekend?
Did you do anything special for the father figure in your life?
