Welcome to “Confessions of a Not-So Domesticated Newlywed”! My name is Kristen and I am 29 years old young.
I currently live outside of Atlanta, Georgia with my wonderful husband, Brandon.
I’ve lived a lot of places. In a nutshell, I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania. After high school, I moved to Florida, where I attended the University of Florida for both undergrad and graduate school.
Following graduation, I moved to Sarasota, FL and worked as a school psychologist.
After meeting Brandon and a year of long-distance dating/engagement, I moved up to Ohio. We got married on December 18, 2010 …
… and after an amazing honeymoon in Costa Rica, I moved in to Brandon’s home in good ole’ Wapakoneta.
Just recently, Brandon and I moved to Atlanta, Georgia. We’re excited to start exploring our new home (and trying some new foods, too!). 
I decided to write this blog to share some of my experiences as a newlywed. I love cooking and baking, but I’m not very experienced yet, so I have a tendency to make mistakes every now and then all the time. I’m hoping other people can relate to me, and perhaps we can share tips and recipes!
(Tip #1: Don’t slide parchment too far under a cake that you are frosting … you’ll never get it back out. Never.)
Brandon and I also love traveling, trying new restaurants, and being active. So the blog touches on those areas.
Within the past year, we have run a 5k, 10k (completed with a time of 1:03!) , and half-marathon (completed with a time of 2:12!), and I am currently training for another half (completed with a time of 2:15!). So I often post about my training, I share tips that I’ve found to be useful, and I frequently ask for advice from those who have been there/done that.
