Happy Friday, my friends! ![]()
So this post is really a long time coming.
Long story short, I need to reprioritize right now. And in order to do that, I’m going to cut back to writing only two blog posts a week, rather than my current three.
As much as I love blogging (and I really really do), I also love my husband.
And between a full-time job, cooking, cleaning, Bible study, friends, blogging, and watching Big Brother three times a week (priorities, people
), I just haven’t had enough time with him.
And while I’m being honest, I also haven’t made enough time for Bible study recently. No good, folks.
So I’ve decided to cut back.
I know, I know. You’ll miss me far too much. I can just imagine how the tears are forming in your eyes.
But never fear, I’m not disappearing completely!
Here’s my current plan:
Monday – I’ll either share what’s new in our lives OR
a new workout (if I ever get my butt back to the gym … ) OR
something else super exciting and full of suspense and drama.
(Recaps of The Bachelor totally count for that last one, right?
)
Wednesdays – I’ll probably keep doing What I Ate Wednesdays (because I just don’t want to miss out on the party!), plus I’ll share recipes.
I want to keep blogging because I truly do enjoy it and I love being a part of such an awesome community. But for now, this new schedule will just have to do! ![]()
Love y’all! Please don’t disappear on me. Because if you do, I might look like this …
… or this …
… or even this.
Thank you for your understanding. ![]()
Question for ya …
What are you doing this weekend?
We’re headed to Tulsa, Oklahoma! Details on Monday!
Will you keep reading, and save me from the ugly Bachelor cry??

Haha love the ending pics! You know I am a total supporter of prioritizing blogging with the real world. I’ve found that I can’t even make a SCHEDULE for my posts, or else I feel forced to pump them out, regardless of whether or not I have something to say.
Anyway, glad to hear your kicking things into order

Kudos to you to taking the time to prioritize your life – that’s not always easy! I always look forward to your blogs, so OF COURSE I will continue to read
Just keep those Bachelor/ette posts coming! Are you watching Bachelor Pad? Craziness!

I totally understand – we always have to check in with ourselves + our hearts + make sure we’re doing what’s best for us + our families. Have a great weekend, friend!

Cutting back and only blogging during the week, not the weekends, was one of the best things I did for myself (and my sanity). Not having a family has allowed me to keep it at 5x a week thus far…but just the other night I told my roommate, “Maybe I should cut back even more.” I don’t know that I will, but I think that it is SO important to figure out the right balance. Once we accept that blogging is not our life, we can go out and actually live. [Not sure if that last sentence made sense.]

Good for you for keeping things in perspective and making sure you have a good balance : )
Everyone needs to create a balance in their lives! That photo #3 of the lady crying had me cracking up.
You mentioned it’s been a long time coming- I had wondered that. Not because your blog isn’t great, but because it’s so good that I knew you had to be devoting a lot of your time to it. This is why I can’t do it! I’ve had 2 blogs and each time I get a few months into it I realize why it’s so hard..usually my family ends up getting less of me. I figure I can just chat about cooking in person while we’re eating, right? lol. The Lord put on my heart that I needed to cut back on my commitments and reorder my priorities this year, and it’s been so great! I am so glad that you’re cutting back for you and Brandon
When you do blog, you’ll have more energy from that extra day of rest! Will still be checking your updates! Love you.
ummm yeah duh of course I will keep reading!! And especially since I did something similar recently, I totally know how you feel. Its been kinda awesome too. I feel like my posts are more “me” when I don’t feel pressured. And its dumb to feel pressure anyway…why do we do that to ourselves?! Funny this blogging. I love it though too. Because otherwise I wouldn’t have met YOU!! Love Love Love how the Lord works through these things. 2, 3, 6 times a week…doesn’t matter to me, I always look forward to your post emails!!

Amen, sister Cinnamon!!
Love you, too and I’m so thankful blogging brought us together!
DUH i will keep reading. i am actually noticing pretty much 80% of the blogs i read most of them have posted int eh last couples weeks (including myself) that they have been super busy and blogging is taking a back burner and i think its kinda cool! i mean then i dont feel as bad about keeping caught up (2 posts a week is easier than 8 to read!!)

I’ve been wondering where you’ve been lately. As much as I hateee that your cutting back to 3x a week, I understand and think your reasonings behind it is wonderful. Hubby & Bible times should always come first, no matter what
Guess it just gives me something to look forward to on Monday & Wednesday
Have a great weekend hunnie!

Balance is important and you need to have some. Very smart of you to shift priorities. I did something similar a few weeks ago when I realized blogging is so much more than writing and practically a part time job. Get your goove back and I’ll read whenever you post.
