Happy Monday!
Hope everyone had a good weekend. And for those who noticed that I didn’t post last Wednesday like I normally do, thank you for actually noticing! It’s nice to feel missed.
Nothing is wrong … life is just getting busy, so I can’t always post as often as I’d like!
And now for our weekly update!
What is baby Addison doing this week?
According to this website, “Your baby is clocking in at five pounds and could be as tall as 20 inches by now, and the vernix (the white coating protecting your baby’s skin) is getting thicker … In other baby-related developments, those tiny fingernails have probably reached the tips of his fingers by now — and getting ready for that first postpartum manicure.”
Symptoms/Physical Changes:
- Acid Reflux
- Fatigue
- My arms consistently feel like I’ve just done a really hard workout. They feel heavy and fatigued. I have no idea why.
- Shortness of breath
- I just feel … big. My growing belly seems to always be in the way these days.
By the way, I’m not a person who typically likes to show off her stomach, but I found this old picture to be hilarious this week:
I was 10 weeks pregnant in that picture, and at the time, I thought that I was already showing. How delusional was I?!
Sleep:
I’m still able to sleep, but when I get up to use the restroom, I feel like I’m having to roll out of bed, rather than jumping up like I used to.
Cravings/Foods I’m Loving:
I’m still loving cereal and milk. We also got our Girl Scout Cookies in this week, so I’ve been enjoying an occasional Tagalong or Samoa. ![]()
Activity Level:
Once again, I only got to work out twice this week. We’ve just been so busy after work each day!
Events:
Nothing too exciting to report right now. I have another doctor’s appointment on Thursday. And I have my other baby shower this weekend, which I’m really looking forward to!
With only 6 weeks left, I’m starting to feel slightly anxious regarding the list of things that still needs to get done.
In addition to my normal “to-do’s,” I have this list to tackle:
1. Choose a pediatrician
2. Send thank you cards
3. Pack bags for hospital
4. Do hospital tour (and bring registration form)
5. Write out birth plan (ours is pretty minimal, but there’s just a couple of things I want to have in writing, so I don’t forget!)
6. Make list of people to contact when we go into labor
7. Make food to freeze
8. Install baby car seat
9. Buy everything we still need for when Addie comes!
Let’s just hope that this child doesn’t make an early appearance … I need the next 6 weeks to whittle down this list!
Question for ya …
What did you do this weekend?
Thoughts on the “Final 3” on the Bachelor?
I think I’m pulling for Ashley. Anyone else?

Oh my goodness girl! You are getting so close..! Baby Addison will be here before you know it!
I actually decided I am Team Lindsay for the win! I do really like Ashley too, but I think Ashley stole my vote last week!

I agree with Jana — I can’t believe that Addison will be here so soon!
As far as The Bachelor goes, I’m undecided. I heard rumors about who won (I won’t say who), but it doesn’t seem like the best match!

Hmm interesting. This is the first time in a long time that I haven’t looked up spoilers. I’m dying to find out who he picks, but I want to be surprised!
I don’t blame you, I would wait! I follow Sean on Instagram, and one of his followers started writing stuff about the person who he (supposedly) ends up with. They ruined it for me!

Ugh, that’s annoying!
You look fantastic!! You wear pregnancy well : )
Thank you, Heather!
You are looking great! Don’t forget to rest when you can.

Thanks, Lauren! Great advice. I know I need to be resting more.
Oh girl, I feel ya on the ever growing to-do list. I had a minor breakdown last night because I was feeling so overwhelmed with everything! It doesn’t help that our life feels like it’s in limbo at the moment, but I’m just trying to take deep breaths and carry on. It’ll all work out, right?
You’re looking adorable, per usual!

I sent ya a text earlier. I’m curious to get an update. And I have some updated news to share with you, as well!
You are so adorable! And I follow your posts regularly. We went out with all the DSPM’s last weekend, and I so wished you and Brandon were there:-). Thought I’d share this link with you. If you are looking to put up freezer meals, this is a life saver! EASY, QUICK, and REALLY TASTY! Cyndi hooked me on this site, and it is a life saver!

Take care!
Thank you so much, Lisa! I will absolutely be checking out that site! I was just talking about you and the other ladies from the Bible study a couple of days ago. I was saying that although you had all known each other for forever, you were still all so welcoming to me.
I miss you! Please keep in touch!
I’m gonna be sending you something soon for baby Addie! Its so cute!
I am that horrible person who looked up who wins on the Bachelor. I’m a little disappointed by who it is. And that is all I will say!

I have checked out the spoilers for the past probably 6-7 seasons, but I finally refrained this time and I’m trying to wait to be surprised. But I hope I’m not disappointed! Actually, I just hope a Bachelor relationship works out for once haha!
And you are so sweet about sending something for Addie! I really appreciate it. She is one loved little girl.
Gosh I know. I would love it if one of the relationships finally just worked out!

My to-do list is pretty darn long, too! We started painting the nursery this weekend, which is a step in the right direction. =)

Awesome! What color did you choose?
We were torn between a peachy color and a very light pink. The pink won! It’s called “pink sea salt.” It works nicely against the white trim + we’re going with white furniture. I’m planning on having accents of watermelon, teal, + yellow in the room, which should pop nicely against the subtle wall color. =)
Aww I love it already!
Ahhh baby bump!! Or is it even considered a bump anymore?

I cant believe that list…seriously Im not even preggo and Im stressed for you lol

Haha I think it’s beyond a bump … it’s more like a boulder.
Wow! That baby girl is coming any day, huh?! Time flies! I know you’re super overwhelmed, but what a blessing this precious time is! I’m excited for you

You look awesome as always and you are getting SO close!!! See if your OB can recommend pediatricians, that’s where we found ours and it was someone I had never heard of…10 years and still going strong

I’m feeling the same way about my to-do list at 34 weeks. It could be interesting if she shows up early!

It is a little too late for my predictions on The Bachelor, perhaps, but I JUST watched the final three episode last night. I’m still really upset about Des being sent home. I think he’s going to regret it. To be honest, I don’t really like him with either of the last two girls…I like them OK, but something irks me about both of them when I see them together…can’t put my finger on it!

GIRL! I remember that ‘roll out of bed’ rather than jump out of bed. Can’t say I miss that part too much. I DO miss the kicks…OH SO MUCH.

And for the car seat- just an idea- I went to the local police station & they did it for me. I had to set up an appointment, but I was able to have a one on one with a lady who showed me how to install it & how to make sure it’s all correct. I’m glad I did, only because those stupid adapters can be tricky. And the class was free…hard to beat

You look great! Sounds like you have yourself quite a long to-do list! Try not to get too overwhelmed
If you need a pick me up, check out our third trimester BumpBundle or even our BabyBundle gift box for her arrival! Lots of fun stuff in the mix. As for Bachelor, I love Lindsay! I actually thought she was nuts with the wedding dress on the first episode, but now she seems so low key and perfect for him! The other girl is a bit too nerdy calling him “hunk” and a “studmuffin” lol
